Has anyone done this and also strength and flex off the nhs website.

I did day 1 of couch to 5k today.
1st bit of exercise in far too many years.
I feel amazing.

Yes I want to lose weight.
But I want to get fit, I've quit smoking too.
So if i lose weight woohoo but I'm not obsessing over a diet. I just want energy, sick of being a lardy bum.

xx

I'm thinking about doing it myself, but I haven't got a way to download the podcasts at the moment - it'll have to wait a bit longer...

I'm having major motivation issues with this weather, and I don't want to get a gym membership at the moment, not sure how to tackle this!

I just scrolled, had little time yesterday so couldnt browse the forum.
But see you started c25k too Ducky, I can't even imagine going 10k! let alone 5 atm but I have trust in the programme.

Old me would be pft what a load of twaddle!
But since I quit smokin the other week with the Allen Carr book, my mind is open to alot more before dismissing it as cack rofl.

Do you run in all weathers ducky?

And Kitty - GO FOR IT :D
There are a couple of apps on smartphones which tell you when to walk and when to run, and you can have your own music going.

Can't wait for tomorrow!

In most weathers yes. Running in the rain is actually quite nice - worst I've run in was a race last month when it was a difficult to believe 24C!!! I quite like when it's cold as after you've got going your temperature's fine.
Love running now.

I went out again today, not c25k but the strength and flex off the nhs site.
Felt like a right royal prat doing press-ups against a fence when someone rode past on a bike.
But had fellas bulky headphones on again n thought.. u know what - i don't care!

Day 2 of the running tomorrow, I'm excited!
Also logging food on my fitness pal thing.
Put 1200 cals as a target, with calories burnt/earnt or whatever, past 2 days I've come under target for cals, but above on carbs i think.

Never thought I'd run. Never!
