With just under a year to go I've noticed (and you probably have by my recent posts too) that I've started to panic and worry about lots of the wedding plans and details. Things like suppliers letting us down, favours not being right, caterers getting the food wrong, the decorations not being right.......the list is endless.

Did/have you panicked about things and how soon?

I'll admit that I've been a bit stressed at times but it's been more about the cost of it all rather than things going wrong. My stance on that the people we're dealing with are professionals that I've spent a long time researching and who know their job better than I do so there's no point worrying about it. I know it's easier said than done but try to relax and trust your suppliers so you're not spoiling the planning process which should be a happy, fun time for you.

On the favours etc side, people will be happy with whatever you give them. It's an expression of the two of you as a couple and it's a gift so if they're not happy then it's a bit rude to be honest :P. In fact, the whole day is a gift from you to them if you want to look at it like that because these things aren't cheap - I know mine in in excess of £80 a head by the time you figure the package deal, chair cover hire, band etc into things

I'm ok so far. I think I was more stressed this time last year when we were just starting to get everything sorted.
I think my current worries are fairly normal - there's a bug working its way through our house, so I'm hoping we'll all be well on the day.

I was ok until about 6 weeks before, and then I had nervous butterflies in my tummy and couldn't sleep for ages. It stopped after my hen do though (3 weeks before) and I just felt totally calm, like it was out of my hands (almost to the point where I didn't care lol) but it all went fine. You can help eliminate problems with suppliers by keeping a long document listing all the details (what should be where and when it should be there, how it should look etc...include photos if it helps). Call all your suppliers the week before to check they're on the same page, and give copies of this info to the best man, ushers and bridesmaids so they know what's happening. You'll find once its all written down you can stop worrying about it ad much :)

I have moments of panic every now and again, the main panic now is the cost and even though I have sat down and worked all the figures out and they all add up I'm worried in case there will be some big upexpected cost that I haven't thought about.

I think money is a huge worry for most brides.

I was worried for a while then THOUGHT we were OK.

I was going to book a photobooth this week, wedding is only 3 weeks away but I've not paid yet ( had another manic week and sidetracked with my daughter )
I am now thinking our wedding will be just as fab without it and the money will be better in our pockets. No one except Fetti knew I was going to book so no one will miss it if that makes sense.

Going to sit down later and have a good look at finances as I also worry that I have missed something off the list or something pops up x x x

I was stressed when just a few weeks before the wedding the venue called us in to say they were doing a massive refurbishment of the courtyard where our BBQ would be, and it would be a building site on our wedding day. Thankfully, they worked really hard to sort out different arrangements and it worked brilliantly. But between that moment and the wedding day I pretty much lost interest in the entire wedding. I didn't panic until my dad was late getting to the house to go to the ceremony.

I know your wedding is a big thing, and chances are you've never organised anything like it before - I know I hadn't. But somehow it really does all come together. Your favours will be FINE, your food will be FINE, everyone will have a lovely time, I promise!

I worry a lot about arrangements and logistics. My advice is to write lists. Write down your worries and questions - who will do X, how will we sort Y - and gradually you'll figure it out. There's something about having a note about things that makes it easier to believe they'll be sorted as you're not trying to hold it all in your head!

I'm definitely with everyone on the writing things down. I'm naturally a writer downer so have list for the most ridiculous of things (not even wedding related!) I guess you just have moments where you worry that something will go wrong or it will be a train wreck. I'm sure on the day I won't even notice these things!

Money is my worry too. H2b has pretty much managed all the budget stuff cos I am so rubbish with figures & Maths, but I'm now starting to panic a bit cos its out of my control really and it feels like we might have over-stretched ourselves...... So, every time I get to this point, OH sits me down & patiently goes through it all till I've gotten my head around it, and trust me, this can take some time

I've also had mini-panic's over BMs, centre pieces, my parents and flowers! I don't doubt I'll have more but if I'm totally honest, so far, everything has gone pretty smoothly :D

I think we wouldn't be human if we didn't have those moments of worry!! ;)
