Hello.

For those having a church wedding what hymns and music are you having? I have loads of hymns I like but a bit stuck on music for signing the register.

Hymns- 3 of
Love Divine
Amazing Grace
Make me a channel of your peace
By thou my vision
Guide me now O great redeemer

Entrance: Arrival of the Queen of Sheba

Exit: Mr Blue Sky- ELO

Register signing: ???

What are others having?

My aunt & uncle are singing during the signing of the register - maybe it would be nice to get some family/friends involved? Just an idea... if not, why not play some secular music? Even if it's just instrumental. Some of the Soundtrack from The Holiday is lovely.

Bridal entrance- Here comes the sun by The Beatles

Hymns- Morning has broken
Amazing grace

Signing the register- Pachelbel's Canon in D played on the classical guitar

Exit- Brandenberg concerto IV allegro by Bach

You have all three of ours! We had Be Thou My Vision, Amazing Grace (My Chains are Gone) and Guide Me Oh Thou Great Redeemer.

We were supposed to have a World of Warcraft medly for the entrance and Zadok the Priest for the exit, but we didn't have the music ready. A friend was going to sing during the signing but wouldn't on the day.

Fab choices Red or White.

A friend of mine is a semi-professional singer/conductor and has offered to put a choir together for us to boost hymns and do register music. I just need to think of something for them to sing!

Register: H2B's little sis is singing... not sure what her songs are yet but I think H2B would like You'll Never Walk Alone... his family are all Liverpool supporters!

Exit: Wedding march for us and Spring (by Vivaldi) for guests.

I probably didn't help out much there sorry!

Yayyy!!! H2B thinks it's hilarious that I picked it cos it's a "school song" but I wanted a cheery one and he wasn't coming up with any suggestions! He keeps telling everyone in a 'you're never gonna believe what she picked' kinda way!
