I was measured and ordered my dress Nov last year and unfortunately have managed to gain 1/2 stone. I know this doesn't sound alot but when you are only 5 foot tall it is a whole dress size. I will be mortified if they say they have to let my dress out (it isn't a lace up back). On top of that we are booking a honeymoon to Maldives so feel I need to be in tip top shape for this once in a lifetime (& able to afford) trip.
I am starting to up my exercise but feel that my will power is somewhat lacking where food is concerned as I am struggling to get my head around "salads". Along with that I work shifts which doesn't make it easy.
Any ideas for further motivation and food ideas??
Jxxx

Keep thinking about the dress!!

I'm also having a bit of a will power crisis at the moment... it doesn't help that h2b keeps bringing cakes and sweeties home from the supermarket LoL! I just keep trying to remind myself that the dress is ordered and I need to still fit in it in 4 months time!

btw.... we're 22nd Sept 2012 as well :D

There are a few of us on the 22nd now if you want to come over to the Sept 2012 thread.

With the nice weather try things like stir frys as they are super quick and really healthy. I also find that slimming world do some lovely recipes of dishes that feel a lot naughtier than they are. Try getting h2b involved as it is a lot easier if there are two of you working at it

I am struggling with the exercise but I have to get back at it. I didn't realise that 1/2 stone would make that much of a difference. I have put on the same amount since my dress fitting and I am the same height  Thanks for giving me a little nudge in the right direction.

Lets all try and keep each other motivated and we will all be looking lovely on our wedding day. Not long now!

Buy a Weight Watchers cooking book. They have really good, quick and easy recipes with normal food options. Start walking more. Walk up the stairs, walk round the block, walk at least 10-15 minutes a day or whatever you can fit into your busy schedule. Remember to drink 6 glasses of water a day as you want your skin to glow!

Don't panic, it can be done!! I've lost 4pounds this week on phase 1 of the south beach diet which I tend to use as a kick start for my usual dieting process where I concentrate more on healthy eating and exercise than what you would think of as 'dieting'. It's extreme, I won't lie to you, cos it cuts out a lot of carbs and most sugars (like no fruit for 2 weeks cos its full of fructose) but it really does work. Plus chances are if you've put it on in a short space of time it'll mostly be water so it shouldn't take TOO long to lose

I'm also a Sept 22nd Bride and am also struggling witrh weight. I had lost almost five stone but then i fell in love and got complacent and put it all on and now it wont shift. My dress was brought a year ago and fits perfectly but as this is my second wedding i didnt want to be a fat bride second time round. I know i wont be able to get all he weight off but i would love to loose a couple of stone. Exercise I am ok with but could do more but eating - i seem to be in a trap of eating bad stuff all over again and have stopped going to weightwatchers and just cant seem to get back into the right frame of mind. it is incredibly hard but we just have to keep going ladies and try as hard as we can. the stupid thing is i know exactly what i should be doing but i just dont feel able to.

Thanks for the hints and tips ladies - had my first fitting and thankfully the dress came down over my hips but not much room for my five course meal - oops! Now stocking up on celery, carrots, low fat humous and porridge.

Come on ladies, we can do it. If we do have a few slip ups just remember, no matter the weight, our fellas will be in awe of us as we walk towards them - the woman they want to spend the rest of their lives with :-) xxx
