Sooooo, we decided on a country garden theme for the wedding and quickly knew that we wanted birdcages as centrepieces. After endless hours searching the web I found that all of the birdcages were coming in at around the £15 mark (and we need quite a few)and not only that, although the sizes were listed it was extremely hard to work out exactly how big they would be. Looking for an easel I stumbled across a website that had birdcages for £5 and £7 but thought it was too good to be true so I ordered a small (£5) one and a medium (£7) one. When they were delivered I was blown away by the quality of them as they looked rubbish in the pictures.

After talking to h2b we both agreed that we should snap up as many as we need because at that price they wouldn't be around for long or it wouldn't be long before they put the price up.

We already have all of our candy buffet jars, tongs and scoops and tealights and tealight holders, fillers for kids activity packs and more so the question is when these 15 birdcages are delivered where on earth are we going to put them??????
We still have over a year until the wedding!!!

Just think of the mahoosive bargain you've got and that you will prob make a hefty profit after the wedding! Have you thought about renting them out?

@katie we did discuss renting them out at first but we'd be too worried about them being ruined.
@shelly we got them from a company called east2eden. I have to admit their customer service is rubbish but at that price I don't mind!

Going to have to sweet talk my mum and dad or pil 2be to store them for us!

It's so easy to get carried away with bargains! We have 2x 30 litre boxes, 5 under bed storage boxes, 5 smaller cardboard boxes and 3 show boxes full to brim and then have BM and fg dresses put away too - glad we have a spare room and less to pull out next year lol

Red - it's crazy isn't it?! Under our kingsize bed we have 8 huge boxes full of tealights, tealight holders, ribbon, favour bags, cups for the kids activity packs and soooo much more. On top of the wardrobe is more stuff, in my h2b's old room at his parents there are bags and bags of tulle for bows and possible swagging and our games for the lawn games! I'm sure there's more, I must do a full inventory soon

Hi

Can you let me know whether you bought white or cream bird cages? The online pics of the cream ones looks slightly green. Can you let me know if yours were true to the colour shown online?

Thanks

I bought the white ones for size referencing and then bought the cream ones. The pictures on the website are crap and that's why I just bought one small and one medium in the first instance because I thought they were going to be horrible. The cream ones aren't anything like the picture. I keep telling h2b that they are beige but he put them on our cream leather sofa and pointed out that actually they are the same colour as our sofa. I prefer the white ones but the company said they weren't sure if they were getting anymore of them in and on a plus side our colour scheme is cream, gold and sage. Hope that helps x
