Hello everyone,

I'm having a jewish wedding in the UK.

I have been to a lot of fairly generic weddings and want mine to have somthing different about it without being "alternative". If anyone has any suggestions I'd love to hear them. (nothing stupidly expensive though!)

I'd also love to hear any suggestions for good bands who do a mix of jewish music and normal stuff (aside from Creation and Blue Orange who are great but have been at everyone else's weddings).

hi, hope  your getting on well with planning your jewish wedding? I am in the process of converting and my fiance is jewish, I would love to have a jewish wedding but I dont think I will be able to! We will have some jewish traditions in there though, where abouts in the UK are you getting married? in london there are loads of unique venues to have the reception if you look on google.

Hi Sally,

I've just had my wedding and would recommend the band Jamtastic. They are very reasonable - not a jewish band but do all the usual jewish wedding songs which got everyone up on their feet, then they do a whole mix of modern and old. I was quoted up to 11k for a jewish band!

Oh and something slightly alternative I had was to have the chuppah outside. It was beautiful with people seated on all four sides.
