Did you use Leigh House in the end? I've probably re-traced your exact footsteps on Google. I've always said I would love to have Chinese caterers rather than have my wedding banquet at restaurant but I'm slowly losing the will and I've only been engaged for a month!

If you have time to share some tips I'd really appreciate it.

I found a few actually:  Yang Sing in Manchester do catering - but we've just cancelled them as we agreed a price and they then turned around and wanted to add an extra cost of £1k-£2k....couldn't give me an exact total as they "forgot" to add on vehicle hire....full of crap - more like they wanted to make money out of us!!  Their food is nice but I would be careful as they don't stick to their "word"

We're still in talks with Leigh house but not been down to the restaurant yet.

We also found a few other authentic Chinese caterers but need to see them first before committing to them.
