Hi Annica,

Traditionally it is the bridesmaids who are to organise it and help with the wedding - that's a real shame that urs haven't....will u speak 2 them about it? xx

I've told my bridesmaids not to worry about doing mine, as I've been on a couple of disasters hen do's and said I would rather organise it myself! :)

Perhaps a subtle word in their 'shell-like' might be in order! x

Not sure if this will appear in the right place, but here goes !!

I am going to be the bridesmaid, and it has been left up to me to do it all !

Well, this is meant to be the bridesmaids' job, but I would expect to give them a helping hand - I have made a list of everyone I would like to invite, and some ideas of what I would like to do, then left them to it. Sorry yours aren't being helpful :( xx

I'm the bride & have booked mine myself as my bridesmaid is a little bit scatterbrained!  I hope she organises a surprise or 2 though! x

Its really up to the bride, I think on how much responsiblity you give to your bridesmaids on everything.  I have been bridesmaid twice and am going to be a bride this year.  Both times as a bridesmaid, the girls organised the hen do's with slightly different imput from the bride.  And my chief bridesmaid asked me a load of questions about the things I'd like and things I defitnely wouldn't like, and is now running with it.  If you want them to do things for you, you may have to ask them, though they should be voluteering to do things for you as well, though of course you can say no.  In all the weddings I have been involved with, the bridesmaids have tried to go to as many appointments as they can for dresses, and fairs, and hair/makeup.

I think it's really up to you. Don't make it the bridesmaid's responsibility if she doesn't know you that well. Check out these guidelines at hen party games.

I have been bridesmaid a few times and every time we have planned it together - it was a really good chance to get together have a few bottles of wine and get excited about going away together.  For my wedding if the bridesmaids had just planned it all I think I would have felt very left out - I am not really one for suprises anyway!!!

It is not worth being confrontational over, it will just make everything more stressful for you - just ask to get together to plan it together....
