Hi everyone!

I'm organising my sister's hen do for next July in Brighton. I've approached Hen Heaven as she used them for my hen do in london and they were good. We are a group of 14 hens and we like to have fun, but are not raucous and don't want an overly tacky hen do!! We want an activity in the day (my sister thinks she wants to do cheerleading) and then a meal, and out for the night to bars and a club!

Firstly I wanted to ask about people's experiences with Hen Heaven...  What do people think and are there any other companies that people think are better?

Secondly -  I need advice on Brighton. My sister wanted it here, but I don't know it at all, and don't know anyone that lives there. My contact at Hen Heaven said to me that they usually send people to oceana for the night out. I said I didnt want oceana as we'd prefer somewhere a bit smaller. So he then suggested Madame Geisha's or Lola Lo??? Can anyone let me know what these are like? Basically we just want somewhere that plays chart music (nothing too cool or posey, but also nothing too chavvy!!) that we can dance to and have a good night!

They also do a queue jump to the vodka bar... could we go here before the club, or is the vodka bar somewhere you would go for the whole night? And if so, is this a good alternative to one of the clubs? Can anyone recommend any different clubs???

Help please!!!

Thank you!

Jo xx

Hi Jo,
what an honour but also alot of work for you!
I had my hen party in Brighton 10 years ago. We went horse-riding across the South Downs in the day, then an Italian meal near to the Pavilion (there are a few good restaurants round there) You must go to the Pavilion for some super photos to treasure! We ended the night at a tacky club( sorry can't remember its name but its just off the seafront) We got free bubbly and cheesy music and after, myself and 1 or 2 of my braver hens went swimming in the sea in our undies!! There are some more trendy clubs under the arches, right down on the beach...you could check them out. Also there is a cool site called the vintage henhouse that deals with more classy hen nights and has already done some in Brighton, so might be worth checking. If you stay out until the wee hours, there is an all-night cafe that the truckers use, we always used to go there after our nights out clubbing for a BLT sandwich...mmmmmm!
best of luck,
Jo X

Hi Jo number 1!

I'm actually from Brighton so I can help you out ideas for things to do. I actually seem to remember using Hen Heaven for my hen night in Bristol 6 years ago and that was back when they were quite a new company. They were extremely capable back then, keeping us really busy all weekend, so I can only assume that they have gotten better still in the time since then.

In regards to Brighton, Madame Geisha's is wicked as it's set across a couple of floors, with a heated outdoor bit up top. They play some of the best club-type music in Brighton with regular DJs (all the other clubs with non-big name DJs behind the decks play pretty dire chavvy music unfortunately). I would avoid Oceana as you say, but Geisha's is tucked away down the Lanes so is in a much nicer environment. Plus its just around the corner from Vodka Revolution, which is the place I assume they send their groups for the queue jumping pre-club stuff. If you've got time during the day a wander through the North Laine (very quirky and lots of cool cafes and shops) and more famous Lanes is the best thing to do I reckon.

Hope that helps a little, if you need any more pointers as a proud Brightonian I'd be happy to help!!

Cheers

Sarah
