I have only just started well back in may and we decided on june and butterflies as the theme my recommendation is to get to as many fayres as possible to get inspiration it looks different when it is set up in front of you.

Hi Kelly

I too have butterfly scheme.

I have butterfly napkin rings, butterfly place cards, bridesmaids have butterfly necklace, earrings and hair fascinators.

Hi Alison, Have you got any pictures the napkin rings sound lovely, I am thinking of getting the butterfly place cards from confetti as they would fit in perfectly.

Wish we were getting married then we have 23monts :-( Want to be mrs l!!!

Hi Kelly

Afraid I don't have any photos.

My colour scheme lilac and white, we bought florists ribbon in lilac, cut pieces 16cm and neatly stapled them into a ring. We got butterflies which were white with silver glitter that was attached to wire, chopped the wire so only a little bit, carefully poked it through the centre of the ribbon ring, then sellotaped the back of the wire in place. Took ages to do as we needed 96. They look lovely though and the venue gave us sample of the napkins they are providing to test them and looked great.

Hi

With the place cards I bought, bought 50 lilac and 50 white.

Originally H2B was going to design on computer but as I had bought 100 silver butterly stickers (which originally was going to try and make napkin rings with) decided to add these stickers to placecards. Took longer writing place cards as wanted butterflies identical position on all place cards.

Why not get (or make) little edible paper snowflakes to put on top of the icing? That would be nice and wintery but not difficult.

What about white icing in little peaks to mimic snow? Like they do on Christmas cakes?

If you visit this site:

http://www.design-a-cake.co.uk/

They sell snowflake patchwork cutters in the shape of snowflakes and stars - if you dust with silver, snowflake (Squires kitcehn dust - sparkly silverwhite) or iridiscent blue food dust (Squires Kitchen Moonbeam dust in sapphire would look lovely!) it could look stunning.

They also sell silver cake cases, sparkle dust, silver and pale metallic blue balls and silver piping gel

There's a lot you could play with!!
