Hi I am helping my sister with her wedding and am trying to find a reading suitable for her 7 year old daughter to read.

Everything i have seen online is quite long or has quite long words and not that suitable for a 7 year old to read! It also has to be ok for a civil ceremony so cant be anything religous

Any suggestions on this would be really helpful!!

Thanks!!

My Mum is getting married
Today's her special day
She'll put on her beautiful dress
Grandad will give her away

She'll stand up in front of everyone
But she won't mind when they stare
Cos once she gets right to the front
It's only him she'll see there

They'll make there promises together
Then we'll all cheer as loud as can be
We'll wait by the door til we see them
Then shower them in our confetti

Then off we'll all go to the party
Surrounded by love and laughter
And once this magical day comes to an end
We'll live happily ever after

I've tried writing something for you, not sure if it's what you're looking for, if you want me to write something a little different or change some of the references let me know and I'll try again

Today is a very special today
My Mum will be a bride
I will get an 'official' Dad
And our family will be bursting with pride

We'll celebrate together
The way only families do
And enjoy all the good in our life
All of the wonderful and the new

And when this day draws to a close
None of us will mind
Cos we'll always be a family
That's special and one of a kind

Had a go for you tracey I'm full of cold atm so brain power is switched to off

I'm a primary school teacher and always thought that the story 'guess how much I love you' would be lovely at a wedding - especially if a little one read it :)
