OK - I know there have been a lot of posts about this recently but I cannot choose my walk in music.

I want something instrumental, I am not overly keen on classical music, OH and I are really into movies so  . . .  can anyone thing of good theme music or movie music for an entrance?

(Darth Vaders theme has been suggested already - and I did consider it for a bit :)  )

Ok, I am absolutely rubbish at stuff like this.  Was going to suggest the American Beauty tune as it's the only thing I can think of but I just youtubed it and it might be a bit too creepy?

My mum suggested Darth Vader's thing too. Pfft.

I'll have a think.

my h2b fave movie is braveheart and he wants the song in there somewhere throughout the ceremony http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vlrXe5nElwQ (dont know how im going to work it) but something like that may work. I love the this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6wz1xA5kxVI especially when it kicks in but think it may have everyone crying for the wrong reasons :/ and being a huge twilight fan i like this too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=72HsHfhxiUg&feature=fvst

I don't know if its the same tune as Spring2013 suggested (in work and dont think clicking on the links would be wise!) but the instrumental of Flightless Bird from Twilight is gorgeous. I wanted it played while we were signing the register etc. With the words its not very wedding appropriate but like I said, gorgeous tune :) Also a nice tune if the tune played in the film Titanic, where you see the old clip of them getting waved off and at the end where she drops the necklace into the ocean. The opening part of the is also lovely.

I love the Back to the Future tune (It's my ring tone) but it is an orchestra piece.

There are lots of albums out there with instrumental versions of popular songs (avoid the panpipe versions though, lol) If you type in 'insrumental music' into amazon there is quite a selection, this is a good one:

Or, my favourite film of all time, 'An Affair to Remember,' the soundtrack is 'An affair to remember (our love affair)' sung by Nat King Cole.

Have you got any favourite films that you both like?

Not a great deal of help but I found this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Classic-FM-Movi ... 932&sr=1-1 which has a couple of orcestral tracks on it which you may like.

There are 3 instrumental songs in Love Actually that are repeated at different times of the film. They are all by Craig Armstrong:

Portugese Love Theme
Glasgow Love Theme
and PM's love theme

I'll be walking into the Glasgow Love Theme, but I think they would all work.

Skeptical - I bet my H2B would want that if he saw your post!

I think we are also going to use some music from Cinema Paradiso for signing the register. And are really tempted to have Sing, Sing, Sing by Benny Goodman (which is the music in the trailer for The Artist) for the recessional, though I'm not sure if it sounds a bit sombre at first!

We're leaving the ceremony to the Pirates of the Carribean theme which we just love, and are having movie themes playing during the meal. This is the list of movies we've picked so far (sorry for bizarre formatting, it's copied and pasted!):

Monsters Inc

Jurassic Park

Home Alone

Indiana Jones

Back to the Future

Lion King

Gremlins

Star Wars

Romeo and Juliet (Kissing You)

Forrest Gump

Harry Potter (Hedwigs Theme)

Terminator

Ghostbusters

Bourne Identity

ET

Madagascar

Police Academy

X Files

Batman

Superman

Incredibles

A-Team

Knight Rider
