Hello lovely! Was it you who was hoping to have a big fat gypsy weddings hen? My cousin is wanting something similar and I'm helping, so I was looking for someone who might be the voice of experience. Am i remembering correctly? Is it you hun?

Told her.

It was her birthday yesterday so she might still be celebrating and not up for hitting the interwebs, but she'll know that this topic is here when she next facebonks.

Hi there

Yes its me :-)

Mine isn't a full on Gypsy theme as such but the 1st night of my hen weekend is fancy dress ( no code just what ever people feel comfy doing )

My 1st thought was a kind of Gypsy bride, Monsoon wedding dress customised with fairy lights the works but I have since managed to rope my oldest daughter in on the act and Im a palm tree and she is the pineapple lol.

No one knows what we are going as. I bought us blue cocktail style dresses of a good old auction site and my fab next door neighbour took a trip to a local fabric store where I spent a fortune ( almost £100 ) on fabric, interface netting etc etc so she can make the bits to add to the plain blue dresses.
We also have matching chav silver strappy shoes and a hair piece.

I am still toying with the idea of the Gypsy bride for the 2nd night of the weekend but the dress code for that is black dress and glam glam glam so I may still shock them all by doing the white twinkling dress idea.
I googled Gypsy pineapple to get pictures and the lady next door is a dab hand at that kind of thing so I know she will make a fab job of it. There were some for sale on E bay but around £110 each and not half as good as I know ours will look.
Sorry I cant help more but If there is anything you think I can help with Just ask x x
