Hi Lovely ladies...

I just wondered what the normal protocol was for chasing RSVP's
we've had about 90% of them back so been really lucky, the date i asked them to be returned by was 1st August, how soon after that can i start chasing people? they have had the invites for about 6 weeks so should have been plenty of time to reply!

Typically its mainly family that haven't answered! and i don't want to just assume they are all coming!

Thanks
xx

We sent a 'just a reminder that we need to give our numbers to the venue next week' email or text to everyone ... a little harder if you have older people that don't do technology!

But I think you have every right to chase on the 2nd August lol :D

When do you need to give the final number by? I wouldn't start 'chasing' until your actual deadline, but if you see people in the meantime you could mention it and ask them to spread the word. It seems family are the worst! They all say 'well, you know I'm coming!' lol!

I'd give them a couple of days after 1st August, just in case they post it on the deadline in a panic!

Well i don't need final numbers until a few weeks before the wedding, but i know some of the family aren't coming, so i wanted to bump up some evening guests before they knew they were being bumped up, if you see what i mean!
and i wanted to send my evening invites out within the next few weeks!

That is a Wednesday, I'd give them till the weekend and then start chasing, though I actually mentioned to my folks those people in the family who hadn't replied by the week of the deadline and they 'hurried them on' a little so I had everyone back by the deadline :)

Our deadline is 31 August - both day & evening invites are now out and we've had 57 confirmations out of 100.... so its not a bad result but not a great one either.

I planned on sending a "just a reminder our RSVP deadline" text/email around 10 days before the 31st August then of the remaining RSVPs I planned to contact those people individually, by phone.

90% is a bloody good result though - well done you!!!!

Our deadline is Sunday and we are still waiting for over half the rsvps, mostly h2bs family. We haven't been chasing them up yet but will start on Sunday as we left ourselves a month to chase up people. Luckily there is a family christening on Sunday and the majority of people who haven't rsvped will be there so will ahve a chance to mention that we 'haven't heard from them'

I would chase now. We started contacting people the week before the deadline - mostly finding some arbitrary reason to get in touch and then saying "oh by the way are you coming to the wedding?" and got most of them in before the deadline that way!

Honestly it's worth doing - you get a lot of answers this way!

Plans are getting there - we still have a few things to buy and make (including the table plan, I have a rough idea of how to do it but need to figure out exactly what materials to get) and lots of things to organise but we've broken the back of it. Can't believe it's so close. Trust me the next few months will fly by!

My day deadline was 6 July, there is a table's worth who haven't RSVP'd. I started chasing folk a week after deadline, MIL is on the case of the remainders ;-)
My evening invites will go out at the end of the month, I'll be please when RSVP hell finishes.x

Our deadline is 28th July & i've started sending reminders out already as venue needs final numbers by 4th August so i allowed a week to chase any straggles.Ridiculous when they recieved them in April/ May that takes so long to respond in first place!! Any after this date will not be coming! It's mainly work colleagues to reply now,few family members (getting dad to chase) & my CBM!!!
